Jesus is Lord
"Jesus is Lord" is the theme of the Gospel of Mark. As we study through this fast-paced book, we will be given a clear picture of the power and identity of the Savior. Have you seen the Bible Readers' Tree? It's beautiful. Here's a picture but you will appreciate it more in person! Now it needs leaves. LOTS of leaves! Every book of the Bible that the church reads will be represented by a leaf. The more of the Bible that we read, the healthier the tree will be. The Record of Bible Reading is in a notebook near the tree. Our thanks to Bill Elias for putting his painter's palette to such a delightful use! Gerry Elias and Kathy Jones have volunteered to make and attach the leaves. Thank you, ladies. A container is nearly ready to be shipped to the South Africa Christian Mission. The freight has been paid. There is still room for 150 more boxes of Bibles and Bible study books. If you have these that are just "sleeping" around your house, then please consider donating them to the hands of the South African preachers and teachers. Bring your Bibles & books to the LACC buliding by Sunday, January 29th.
Dinner and a movie. You're invited to a delightful evening on February 11th.
The dinner will begin at 6:00 PM to be followed by the hit movie, Courageous.A freewill offering will be taken to defray the cost of the evening.Any monies that are given above the costs will be given to the family that has fled their home in Burma for the sake of their faith in Jesus Christ. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
